Hi Friend --
Happy GOTV to all of the campaigns with May 1st elections! Read below for April VAN updates.
Voter File Update!
The new voter file has hit VAN -- this means that newly registered voters are now visible in VAN. It also means that voters who have moved out of your district won't be visible in Create a List, and some voters' addresses may have changed. The counts in your saved lists or searches may change as a result of the new voter file -- this is usually a small change, but if it's larger than you'd expect, send us a help ticket and we can take a look.
Early Voter Data
We are actively receiving and uploading Early Voting data for the following counties/jurisdictions:
- CD-6 (includes Tarrant, Navarro, and Ellis Counties)
- Bexar County
- Brazoria County
- Collin County
- Dallas County
- Denton County
- Tarrant County
If you have a spreadsheet with early voter rosters from a county that is not listed above, please email it to vanhelp@txdemocrats.org or submit it at txdem.co/van-help. Please note that we need VUIDs (state voter file IDs) in the first column in order to upload it.
Suppressing or Viewing Early Voters in VAN
Since early voters are being uploaded to VAN, these early voters are automatically suppressed when you create a list. If you don't want to exclude early voters, you'll need to navigate to the "Early Voting" section of Create A List and uncheck the "Exclude People Who Have Early Voted or Absentee" suppression.
As always, if you have any questions, please reach out to our team at txdem.co/van-help or email vanhelp@txdemocrats.org.
Best,
TDP Data Team
