2023 Voter Registration
Voter registration will be critical to our success in November. The Texas Democratic Party has developed procedures for county parties, campaigns, and clubs currently engaging in voter registration to ensure TDP is collecting and sharing information back with grassroots leaders and candidates.

Voter Registration Form
You can either use your county’s VR forms, or TDP’s modified VDR form (for VDR’s only). If your County Party doesn’t have the modified VDR forms available, please email voting@txdemocrats.org with the quantity of forms you need and the mailing address where I can ship the forms to.
Collecting information from voters
When the voter agrees, it is important to attempt to opt voters and new registrants alike into Texas Democratic Party communications so that we can follow up with additional information about the Party and our slate of nominees. This will ensure we have built a relationship with voters well before GOTV begins in October and have contact information for them so that we can remind them to vote.
As a VDR, it is illegal to copy the phone number or email address off a VR form. Instead, we must collect that information separately. You can do this either on the tearaway from our voter registration form or by having voters fill out one of these commit-to-vote forms - txdem.co/ctv. Once this information is uploaded to TDP, the Data Department can match the information and process it. You should not opt in a voter who expresses a desire not to be. It is always illegal to copy Texas & Social Security ID numbers.
Uploading information
Instead of using the VR tab, we have created databases for you to upload individual voters or lists of voters. The TDP data team will process and upload these weekly to the VR tab.
Individual voters
If you want to upload voters individually, please use this form - txdem.co/vr-individual-upload
Bulk uploads
If you want to bulk upload voters (e.g., in a spreadsheet) please fill out this template - txdem.co/vr-upload-template - and then use this form - txdem.co/vr-bulk-upload
Other questions
What’s the difference between being a Volunteer Deputy Registrar OR using txdem.co/Register (Register2Vote) online?
If you accept a signed voter registration application from a new voter, you must be a trained volunteer deputy registrar. (See below for info about becoming deputized.) Often you may wish to register a person and either your volunteer is not deputized or doesn’t have a blank application with them, or you are talking to the potential voter on the phone. Use txdem.co/register (register2vote) on your phone or computer. The voter (or volunteer) enters their data and submits the form. txdem.co/register (Register2vote) will mail a pre-filled form to the voter along with a postage-paid envelope addressed to their local registrar. The voter signs and mails the application.
